Family legend says that, as a toddler, I organized the children at my daycare center into a construction team and then attempted to sell the houses and apartments we built from wooden blocks to our parents. Although I suspect this may not be true, what I do know for a fact is that I’ve been fascinated by construction and real estate since I was knee-high to a front-lawn SOLD sign.
My long-time passion for these two related fields led me to Humber College – (following high school, not directly from daycare) – where I studied Construction Technology; and, from there, into the HVAC Apprenticeship Program. Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning might seem devoid of thrills and international intrigue to some, but the seven years I spent earning my license in this skilled trade served to generate within me a wholehearted interest for the subject. So much so that, after completing the program, I worked both in the design and construction of a variety of HVAC systems in numerous residential homes and high-rise condominiums in the Toronto area. But I could never quite get the real estate bug out of my system.
In 2007, I acquired my Real Estate License, and although a comprehensive knowledge of the home market has greatly contributed to my sales success, I’m convinced that my (possibly daycare-inspired – fact still to be verified) sincere enthusiasm for real estate has played an important role as well.
I’m equipped with strong and effective negotiating skills and – so I’ve been told – an upbeat sense of humour and positive demeanour that make the selling/buying process a rewarding and enjoyable one for everyone involved.
